Giraffe Educate Foundation expands its work sharing nonviolent communication philosophies and strategies with many more schools and communities.

GEF has expanded

Giraffe Educate Foundation started with 1 school, expanded to 7 schools. Now, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the Kassanda District Education Department asking GEF to work with all 200 schools in the Kassanda District. Can you believe we have grown to be able to reach 11,000 students through their parents and schools? It is a stepping stone to realizing the world we want to live in. Uganda wants to create safe environments for children and has asked GEF to lead a new project called “Safer Schools”. Nonviolent communication is at the heart of our ongoing efforts in co-creating safer schools:

  • Teachers

  • School administrators

  • Inspectors of schools

  • School coordinating tutors

  • District education officers

  • Children in schools

  • Parents
